About Us

My name is Stephanie and I'm an Australian that calls New Zealand home with my husband and son.

I have a real passion for anything arty, crafty and DIY. Mix that up with a quirky sense of style, humour, all things weird and all things wonderful; and the nickname of 'Pony' from my best friend, and you've got yourself Dancing Ponies.

I love being able to take ordinary every day items and give them new life, whether that be a scratched up vinyl record or those old plastic army men your Mum is selling on Trade Me with a $1 Reserve. My brain is constantly buzzing with new ideas for things to make, build or test out on my friends and family.

All it takes is a bit of imagination and tolerant husband who doesn't argue when a box of ninja turtles arrives on your doorstep.
